2018/2019 batch are sourced from the Puhoi region of rolling countryside north of Auckland, New Zealand. This area was settled in the 1860s by migrants from Bohemia (Czech Republic, Slovakia) and Croatia.
Although close (30 minutes’ drive) to Auckland, New Zealand's largest city, the region retains a pioneer feel with small hamlets and farms dotted through steep-sided valleys. These farms often have their own apiaries producing manuka as well as other honey varietals. Harvest runs from October-November.
Flavor: A fine vintage with distinctive woody and toffee notes with medium consistency.
